3/21: 476 words. There are so many ways in which parenting makes you stronger. But it also gives you cracks in your emotional armor, and a prod in just the right (or wrong?) place will evoke a response that wouldn’t have happened in your pre-parenting days.
In today’s writing session, I got a little bit choked up. No tears, but I got that tightening in my throat. It’s only happened a couple of times while writing. Hopefully, it will trigger an emotional response in the reader as well.
Forging Bonds crossed over the 50,000 word threshold today. I know I’ve still got 25-30% of the book left to write, but even though this is my third novel, that still feels like such a significant marker.
