12/5: I probably should have had more foresight when I decided to name this series, realizing that at some point, I wasn’t going to be writing any more. I would be editing what I’d written. And that’s where I find myself now.
Yesterday, I printed off the first draft of Vulcan Rising and started making it bleed red with revisions, additions, and subtractions. I’m through the first 7 chapters now (of 42).
The good news is that I like what I’m reading so far. So mostly, it’s a matter of refining, not wholesale changes.
