5/11: 208 words. A word count in the low 200s suggests that I didn’t get much done today. But it’s a misleading figure. Rather than writing, I spent much of my writing time this morning plotting.
I figured out the next three chapters, which will get me to the mid-point of Walls Ascending. Then I plotted out the Third Act. Now I know (more-or-less) how the book will end. The big question mark, just as it was with Vulcan Rising, is how I get us through the second half of the Second Act. And right now, I just don’t know what that’s going to look like. But I’ve got three chapters to write in the meantime, so I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
