11/6: 527 words. I had planned to continue writing the scene that I was working on yesterday. But as I was writing, I had an idea for a conversation that takes place a couple of chapters down the road, so I decided to go ahead and write it.
So now I’m feeling pretty good about how the Turning Point Progressive Complication is going to unfold for Middle Build 2 (the second half of the Second Act). This time last week, I had a pretty good understanding of what was going to happen in the Ending Payoff (Act 3) but no idea what Middle Build 2 was going to look like. Now, it’s slowly taking shape.
Afternoon update: I wrapped up work early and had some time to write this afternoon. I wrote another 672 words, bringing my word count total for the day to 1199. And I’m at a good launching place for tomorrow.
